Hautes Fagnes (high Fens) is a National Parc in East Belgium in the Province of Liège. The landscape is one of moors, unique in Europe. In 1971 , a belgian-german initiative created the Hautes Fagnes-Eifel Natur Park.

The highest point of Belgium (694m) is situated at 10 minutes from the Hotel La Forge in the natural reserve Hautes Fagnes (high Fens) and the spot is marked by "Signal de Botrange"

Visit the "Centre Nature de Botrange" where you learn with videos and an exhibition a lot about the 500 million years old history of the Hautes Fagnes.

Hautes Fagnes is a paradise for walking and cycling. RAVel is a network (800 Km) which takes towpaths and closed down railways and is destinated for pedestrians, cyclists, handicapped persons and riders.

In winter, Hautes Fagnes is the cross-country ski center of Belgium. And in the center of this beautifoul region you find our Hotel.
